Examination of Gender Equality: Education and Resources in Taiwan
words & photo by Claire Liu
On the Gender Equality Forum[1] held by Awakening Foundation, the importance of gender education on campus is constantly mentioned.
Gender issues, such as sex education criticisms raised by parents groups[2] and curfews for female students[3], have been popular subjects under discussion recently in Taiwan.
On December third, 2016, a gender equality forum took place at Taipei NGO House (臺北市非政府組織會館). Held by Awakening Foundation (婦女新知基金會), the forum focused on the gender issues on campuses, especially in colleges.
